https://thehealthyearth.org/ this nonprofit organization based in Southwest Florida works to empower young people to take meaningful actions to improve the environment that make a difference in their communities (beach cleanups, community gardens, education programs, etc.). I've done volunteer work with The Healthy Earth Organization and it is an awesome example of what people can do in their own community.
